1. About Lockier Label

What is Lockier Label?

Lockier Label is one tee brand that's home to three sister-country friends: Australia (home), New Zealand (the close neighbour), and Canada (the sister). One product, three mascots (Koala, Kiwi, Beaver), one kindred register. We make affectionate cross-cultural sibling humour — small bits of culture shared with warmth, never with a punchy-down.

Who runs Lockier Label?

Paul Lockier, sole trader, Adelaide, South Australia. Started 2026. Soft-launching in 2026's quiet months.

What does "country-pure" mean?

Each country has its own mascots, prints, and SKUs. An Australian tee featuring the Koala doesn't appear with the Kiwi or Beaver — the countries stay separate on the product lines. The three mascots only appear together in trio scenes (not sharing a SKU).

What are "ranges"?

Each character exists in a range — a role lane that groups characters by workplace family. The current ranges are:

  • Wellness Warriors — healers, nurses, carers
  • Hospitality Hustlers — chefs, restaurant managers, waitstaff
  • Knowledge Keepers — teachers, lecturers, librarians
  • Brainy & Buttoned-Up — strategists, planners, accountants
  • Cool Creatives — designers, photographers, makers
  • Community Protectors — social workers, fire service, civil responders
  • Everyday Legends — council services, public works, couriers

Where does the name "Lockier" come from?

Sole-trader surname. No family-business lineage or inherited branding behind it.

Is Lockier Label a charity / cause-linked?

No. Lockier Label is a sole-trader commercial brand. We pay our creators and print partners fair rates (which means AU-on-shore printing stays more expensive than offshore mega-print — that's the trade we make consciously).

2. Products, sizing & materials

What tees do you use?

Bella+Canvas 3001 Unisex Jersey Short Sleeve Tee — 100% cotton, pre-shrunk, mid-weight. Standard unisex fit. Regular cut for most people.

What sizes are available?

XS through 3XL — seven size options. (Navy/XS isn't offered because our print partner's print area doesn't yet support that combination. The Print Bar is fixing this in their next category refresh.)

What colours are available?

Three: White, Black, and Navy. We chose these because they hold a printed image well across coverage of body types and venues.

How should the tee fit?

Standard unisex sizing, true-to-size for most. If you prefer a relaxed drape, size up. If you prefer an athletic fit, size down.

What kind of print do you use?

DTG (direct-to-garment), printed centrally on the front, roughly 14×16 inch area depending on size. Each print is digitally laid down and heat-set.

Will the print fade / wear out?

Standard DTG behaviour: print starts soft, ages into a garment over the first few washes. We recommend washing inside-out in cold water, no bleach, low-tumble or line dry. Sharp fade-and-crack isn't expected for the first 30–40 wears if you follow care guidance.

Are the tees ethically produced?

The blank tees are Bella+Canvas 3001 (US-sourced cotton / USA-dyed / assembled in Central America under WRAP-certified conditions). The Print Bar's DTG facility is AU-based and award-winning for ethical practice. We're transparent about this — it's not a perfect supply chain but it's one we can vouch for.

Are there kids' / toddler sizes?

Not yet. We're not in a rush to scale; the 7 sizes currently cover most adult bodies.

Are these unisex or women's / men's-specific?

Unisex. Bella+Canvas 3001 is a unisex cut designed to fit most body types well when sized correctly. We don't run parallel women's or men's fits yet — the unisex fits a broad enough range that we haven't seen a reason to fork.

3. Printing, production, shipping

Where are the tees printed?

The Print Bar, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. They're an AU-on-shore print partner specialising in on-demand DTG. See the Where we ship from page for detail.

Why AU-on-shore?

Three reasons:

  1. Fair rates for designers and operators here in AU.
  2. Quality control — The Print Bar's quality is genuinely high and we know what we're getting.
  3. Honest carbon math — one shipment to a customer is much smaller carbon than bulk container shipments.

What does "printed to order" mean?

Each tee is printed only when you've ordered one. We don't hold inventory. This means no mass production, no overproduction, no waste.

How long does production take?

About 8–10 business days from order confirmation. Then shipping time per your region:

  • AU: 5–7 business days (after production; total ~12–15)
  • NZ: 7–14 business days (after production; total ~20–25)
  • CA: 7–14 business days (after production; total ~20–25)
  • Rest of world: 7–21 business days

Do you have a future plan for local NZ / CA printing?

Yes — where possible (i.e. when volume justifies it), we'll add a local print partner in New Zealand and Canada. Today, all Lockier Label orders — including NZ and CA — are printed at The Print Bar in Brisbane and shipped internationally.

Will I get a tracking number?

Yes. Tracking is included on every order and is emailed to you when production handoff completes.

Can I change my shipping address after ordering?

Yes, until production starts (typically within 1–2 business days of confirmation). Email hello@lockierlabel.com with the order number.

Do you do gift wrap?

Not yet. We're focused on minimal packaging that's recyclable.

4. Pricing, GST, customs

What currency are the prices in?

Australian Dollars (AUD). Lockier Label will display as A$ and the charges will be processed in AUD.

Does the price include GST?

For Australian customers, yes — prices are GST-inclusive. For international customers, GST is not charged by Lockier Label at checkout, but your country may apply duties on arrival. We declare at fair market value; we don't collect overseas duties.

Do prices ever change?

Per-SKU prices stay fixed once a SKU is published. New ranges may launch at different price points, but we don't run flash sales or surprise price hikes.

Do you offer discount codes / promo codes?

Not currently. Pre-launch friends may get a heads-up direct email when new SKUs drop.

Are there any bundle deals?

Not currently. If you'd like two tees, just order two tees — standard shipping is A$8 flat within AU regardless of quantity.

Will I get a tax invoice?

Yes — email receipt from our store. For AU GST-registered customers requiring a tax-compliant invoice, the email functions as that. (We're not currently set up for custom-format invoices via admin; the standard email receipt is our invoice form pending any ATO-driven update.)

5. Returns, exchanges, refunds

What's your return policy?

30 days on unworn items in original packaging. See the Returns & FAQ page for the full procedure.

How do I start a return?

Email hello@lockierlabel.com with your order number. We'll send you the return address (Adelaide, AU) and confirm next steps.

What if my tee is damaged or defective?

Email a photo within 7 days of arrival. We reprint and ship a fresh one free of charge — no need to return the damaged one (though we'd appreciate it).

Does size exchange cost anything?

First-time size exchange — you cover the return shipping; we cover shipping the new size. After that, plain returns apply.

How long do refunds take?

Once we receive your returned item, refunds are processed within 7 business days. Original payment method receives the credit.

6. Custom, wholesale, other enquiries

Do you take custom / personalisation orders?

Not currently. Each tee is a packaged design from the published catalogue.

Do you do wholesale / bulk orders?

Not currently. Lockier Label is direct-to-consumer only at this stage.

Can you collaborate with my brand / business?

Maybe! For reasons of brand integrity, we don't take paid placements or shout-outs, but we do consider genuine artistic collaborations — tell us what you're imagining.

Can you license the character art?

Not currently. Paul keeps the artwork in-house.

Can I send you fan art?

Yes, please! Email hello@lockierlabel.com. We can't always write back, but we see everything and we appreciate it.

Do you have a podcast / newsletter?

Not yet. We'll start a soft-launch friends newsletter when we hit our first 100 sales. If that's you, you'll see it in your inbox.

7. Privacy, data, security

What do you do with my data?

Order data goes to our print partner (The Print Bar) to fulfil your order. Email goes to Shopify and our transactional email provider. That's it. See the Privacy Policy for the full detail.

Will I get marketing emails?

Only if you opt in. By default, you'll only get transactional emails — order confirmation, shipping, delivery.

Do you ever sell my data?

No.

Is checkout secure?

Yes — Shopify Payments with PCI-DSS-compliant processing. Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay available once we enable Shopify Payments (target: pre-launch).

Can you delete my data?

Yes. Email us. We respond within 7 days.
